Dear Oppo hive mind,
Do you have any suggestions on 7" round headlights with built in blinkers. As I’ve mentioned before I want to remove the Rabbit’s front bumper with requires relocating the blinkers. What I’d really like to do is get a headlight with an integrated blinker like this one. They are available from lots of sources for under 40 bucks shipped.
However i;’d reeeeeally like to have glass lens, and a more retro look. price i would say has to stay under 150 for the pair.
EDIT: read the QnA for these and they are glass! still open to suggestion tho.

Your other car is a BMW, what are you still doing using your blinkers?

My ‘63 Ranchero, I wanted to get rid of the slab bumper, so since I was already missing the grill, I bought and modified a ‘60 grill and bought and modified ‘62 headlight surrounds to make it all work. So I definitely understand the impulse.
Can’t say I remember from when I had my Rabbit - could you put a signal unit of some kind *behind* the grill to shine through?
Failing that, I would say maybe these:

you could simply relocate the sock blinker to behind the grill and have it shine though. I have considered that. there’s also the option of mounting a small square blinker in the whole for the bumper mounts which i like a lot.
this guy make really clean work of it.

What’s a blinker? Is that like a hot girl who you have to blink once to ensure she really exists?

That isn't a bad idea, my 240z has rediculous signals up front, down low under the bumper. I could use better headlights too.

I’ve always liked crosshairs in the mk1;
These ones have city bulbs that you could use as blinkers..

With a grille change, (I think the euro version had smaller headlights, I may be wrong...)
You could use these: (5.75" round, unfortunately JW Speaker doesn’t offer a 7" round version.. as most US 7" applications for jeeps and motorcycles and such, have separate turn signals)
